I enjoyed a Gurkha Vintage Shaggy today. The description the Gurkha website provides is a rather accurate description of this unique smoke. Gurkha describes it as:
“An eight year old Dominican wrapper with five year old Dominican filler and binder. The one exception is the unbranded Reserve. It has Dominican Puro in it to add a little more spice and well I don’t want to say power, but it is about each individuals palate.”
It was a nice smoke but nothing to terribly special. In my opinion, it would be something worth trying if you can find a good deal on it. Thompsoncigars.com is selling a box of the Toro Maduro for $180.00 which is a little over 7 bucks a stick. These are definitely not worth that much. But then again, I am rather cheap.
